During an edition of the Toronto Comic Jam in the early 2000s, every panel I made had something to do with pliers which amused a few of the other participants, so they'd ask me if I was going to do any pliers related panels every month after that.

As a child I looked up to my Uncle Terry who was a commercial artist, so I became an incessant doodler. An adolescent obsession with comics led me to dedicate my life to picture making and I've been honing the craft ever since.

Definitely. I tend to get stuck in my own thoughts and interpreting the works of writers and collaborating art directors has always helped me to see things differently and made my work better in the process.
